KPat Information
Description
Howto
Objective: Rearrange the cards by suite within shortest time possible.
Essentially there are two types of solitaire games – the ones that let you arrange the cards by same color and the ones that let you arrange the cards by alternating color. You can easily determine which game you are trying out using trial-and-error method. Once you know which one you are dealing with, rest is easy; keep arranging and rearranging the cards, collecting the matching ones.
From the beginning however, pay attention to your card stacks. Do not rush to move individual cards around, see if it might be more useful elsewhere.
For additional help you can also take quick picks onto the statusbar. For the most of the games there is a built in solver which informs you whether the game you are currently playing can be complete or not. If you see that solver could not complete the current game, chances are you will not be able to do so as well. At this point you can either restart the current game, or start a completely new game.
Note: Playing solitaire games helps you to greatly improve your attention span and enhance the ability to concentrate.

I see two questions missing Napoleon's Tomb. I don't see an answer to them, and I'm missing it as well.

I would love the option to create my own decks from personal images, if this is already possible maybe a manual to show how.

Yes, I agree w AUser; predefined positions for hearts, clubs, diamonds, spades. Don't count moving a pile which does not alter the game.

1. I agree with AUser. It would be nice to be able to configure the order of the foundation pile (although my order is different from his). 2. Sometimes the messages "This game is lost" is annoying. But sometimes it is challenging, because it is not always correct :-)

I'm addicted to playing Grandfather. I agree Dave Sawyers comment. Is there any way to get rid of "nope, this game cannot be won any more"? This is really annoying. Thanks in advance, dw

Solved! To get rid of the "this game cannot be won any more", go to settings and uncheck "Enable Solver". dw

I agree with Sawyer. There are times when I don't want to know that I can't win. I just want to play the game out. Allow option to kill progress msgs.

Just updated to version 3.1 and wondering if klondike draw 3 will be added, it's been my favourite.

Kpatience spider ubuntu 8.1 does not remember icon setting from one game to another

MY KPAT HAS CHRASHED. I REMOVED THE PROGRAM AND RE-INSTALLED IT. IT STILL CRASHES. I HAVE UBUNTU AS MY OS....IS THERE A PATCH FOR THIS?

So, is there a reason why Napoelons Tomb (my favorite patience by far) was removed? If I was to reimplement it, is there any chance of it being included again? Or was it some legal reasons??

it could be possible to add an option to set the timeout(for example on spider) to calculate if the game is still solvable or not? Thanls

1) please restore the card decks and backdrops which were available in 2.2.2 2) please restore or add a toggle for 3-card klondike, so that removing one (or more) card from the stock doesn't always reveal the top three cards of the stock. thanks -- great game!!

I agree with Dave, the solver takes some of the adventure away. Does the solver know what 's in the closed pile ? That would give him a start on the player ! Wher is the sound of the earlier versions? Greetings and thanks for a very nice play!

I like to have my cards in a certain order in the foundation pile: Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds, Spades. It would be nice to be able to somehow define this order in preferences so if an Ace exists when a game is started and it's automatically placed in the foundation pile, it will be placed in the predefined position. Furthermore, when moving one card from one place in the foundation pile to another place in the foundation pile, one move is added to the total. I think this is not necessary and perhaps incorrect (from a certain point of view).

Why the game Napoleon's Tomb has been removed from the program? PLEEEASE, would you add it back to the next release? :) Thanks!

I would like to be able to toggle the "you can't win this game" off. Otherwise, a very nice version. Thanks
